The Ulster-Greene ARC Foundation serves as the fund-raising arm of the not-for-profit agency which offers customized supports and services for people with autism and other intellectual and developmental disabilities from throughout the Hudson Valley and Catskilll Mountain region of New York State.

The Foundation's role is to raise funds that help offset budget shortfalls while emphasizing improved lives for the people it serves.   For example, the Foundation has provided contributions for the construction of our Brookside School;  installation of a memorial garden at Palmer Center, an UGARC  nusring home; patio furniture for a new house recently opened, and equipment such as electric wheelchairs, and ergonomic tables and chairs for our vocational program.

Ulster-Greene ARC also applies for grants through the Klock Foundation, the United Way of Columbia-Greene Counties and Ulster County.  It has received a $20,000 grant from the McDonald Foundation to build a bicycle track at the Brookside School.  It also has received grants for library books at Brookside as well as the construction of a large pavilion with kitchen and toilet so that Brookside students can enjoy outdoor activities while sheltered from the elements.

Giving opportunities include an annual appeal,  special events, planned giving, corporate and private donations and bequests, memorials, insurance and annuities, as well as naming opportunities.

Giving to the UGARC Foundation directly benefits people and families in our community.
